II International Stanislav Neuhaus Piano Competition
II International Stanislav Neuhaus Piano Competition was held in Chelyabinsk on November 15-22, 2010.

Place of the Competition: Sergey Prokofiev Concert Hall of the Chelyabinsk State Philharmonic Society.

The Jury of the Competition was headed by Eliso Virsaladze (Russia), People’s Artist of the USSR, Professor of the Moscow State Conservatoire, Professor of the Munich Conservatoire (Germany), Prize Winner (the first prize) of the P. P. Tchaikovsky International Competition.

Jury members are:
• Gregory Gruzman (Germany) - Professor of the Weimar High School of Music (Germany), President of the Rachmaninov Society in Germany;
• Evgeni Levitan (Russia) - Head of the Special Piano Chair of the Chelyabinsk State Academy of Culture and Arts, Professor;
• Irena Protasewicz (Poland) - Professor of the University of Music named after Frederic Chopin in Warsaw (Poland);
• Balazs Szokolay (Hungary) – Head of the Piano Chair of the Budapest Academy of Music named after Franz Liszt, Professor;
• Vladimir Tropp (Russia) - Head of the Special Piano Chair of the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music, Professor;
• Staffan Scheja (Sweden) - Head of the Piano Chair of the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (Sweden), Professor.

In 2010 the Competition was held in “Piano solo” nomination. The peculiar feature of the Competition was the absence of the division into age groups. Young musicians under the age of 36 were allowed to participate in the Competition.
The Organizing Committee received 34 applications from the pianists from Russia, China, Korea, Belgium, Hungary, France, Ukraine and from other countries of the world.
